LG has teamed up with Google to launch VR for G3, a virtual reality accessory for its flagship smartphone, Digital Spy reports.
The headset fits over the LG G3 and uses lenses in conjunction with the handset's hardware to create a virtual reality experience.
LG is offering the accessory for free to customers who purchase a new G3, but it is yet to be confirmed whether it will be available as a standalone product.
VR for G3 is reminiscent of Google's DIY Cardboard headset, and has been touted as LG's bid to compete with Samsung in smartphone virtual reality innovation.
Samsung took a premium approach to this concept with the launch of its Gear VR, a virtual reality accessory for Galaxy mobile devices.
