Ellie Goulding’s “50 Shades of Grey” track smashes world streaming record

Ellie Goulding has broken a worldwide streaming record, Digital Spy reports.

The singer's new single 'Love Me Like You Do' has become the most streamed song ever in one week.

The Fifty Shades of Grey track has experienced 15,468,762 streams in one week, breaking the record previously held by Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk'.

"The love for my new song 'Love Me Like You Do' is on an immense scale. It's very hard to take it all in. It means the world to me," said Goulding.

Max Martin produced the single, which has achieved sales of 1.2 million and 36 million total global streams.

Goulding is currently working on her third studio album, the follow-up to 2012's Halcyon.
