Moto 360 smartwatch adds Moto Maker customization

Motorola will soon enable customers to tweak the design of their Moto 360 smartwatch via its Moto Maker tool.

The company is about to launch a new version of the online customisation service with support for the wearable, Digital Spy reports citing Wired.

Customers will be able to choose between three watch casings, two band sizes, two materials, and 11 default watch faces when they design their own Moto 360.

Motorola first launched Moto Maker in 2013 to allow Moto X users to customise their handset. The new version of the service will continue to support smartphones.

The firm's focus on design flexibility has prompted apparent criticism from Apple's Jony Ive, who claimed that allowing users to customise their device is "abdicating your responsibility as a designer".

Motorola president Rick Osterloh later hit back at Apple by dubbing its prices "outrageous".
