Two suspected jihadists preparing attacks arrested in Spain

The Spanish Interior Ministry said police have arrested two people in the north African enclave of Ceuta on suspicion of belonging to a jihadi terror cell and who were prepared to carry out attacks in Spain, Reuters reported.

A ministry statement said Tuesday, March 10, the arrests were connected to the detention of 4 others belonging to the same cell Jan 24.

The statement said two houses are being searched. The case is being coordinated by the National Court in Madrid.

Ceuta is one of two Spanish enclaves surrounded by Morocco on one side and the Mediterranean Sea on the other.
