Google launches its Calendar app on iPhone

Google has launched its Calendar app on the iPhone, Digital Spy reports.

The app has a similar feel to its Android version, which was revamped last year.

Like Android, it displays events from Gmail, offers suggestions with Assists and comes with Schedule View to make calendar browsing easy.

Plus, Google Calendar for iPhone works with all the calendars already set up on user's phone.

Also on March 10, Android 5.1 was released in an apparent attempt to steal Apple's thunder amid the Apple Watch hype.

The update includes the usual stability improvements along with new features, such as support for multiple SIM cards and Device Protection.
