Nokia reinstates HERE Maps over a year after it was pulled

Nokia has reinstated its HERE Maps service on iOS, over a year after it was pulled, according to Digital Spy.

The first iteration of the app was removed from the App Store by Nokia in December 2013 due to iOS 7 bugs.

The app is now back, boasting a number of features already present on the Windows Phone and Android versions.

These include offline voiced turn-by-turn navigation, public transit data and information about points of interest.

"Following the positive reviews of Here for Android, Apple fans have been clamouring for an iOS version of our app that combines saved maps with online information - such as live traffic, scheduled or real-time public transit info as well as photos and reviews for the places shown on the map," Nokia said in a blog post.

"HERE for iOS is a completely different app from the one previously available on the App Store."

The Android version of HERE Maps launched in October last year.
