Adobe announces Document Cloud service for storing and sharing PDFs

Adobe has announced Document Cloud, a service for storing and sharing PDF files, Digital Spy reports.

The cloud-based platform is a similar offering to Dropbox but is limited to documents, working in tandem with Acrobat DC, the next iteration of Acrobat.

Document Cloud helps users manage their documents across platforms at home and in the office, and is designed to "address the waste and inefficiency associated with document processes".

"People and businesses are stuck in document-based processes that are slow, wasteful, and fragmented," said Adobe executive Bryan Lamkin.

"While most forms of content have successfully made the move to digital, documents and the process of working with them have not, and that needs to change.

"Adobe Document Cloud will revolutionise and simplify how people get work done with critical documents."

Adobe Document Cloud will be released within the next 30 days and comes bundled in with Acrobat DC subscriptions.
