Apple “bringing Force Touch display technology to iPhone”

Apple is reportedly bringing its Force Touch display technology to the iPhone 6S Plus, according to Digital Spy.

Force Touch, which debuts with the Apple Watch, enables a device to distinguish between different levels of pressure applied to its screen.

Industry sources have allegedly told UDN that the feature is coming to the iPhone 6S Plus, but there is no word about the standard 6S.

Bringing the technology to the larger handset is expected to costs Apple 2.5 times as much as its inclusion on the Apple Watch's micro screen.

Apple is rumoured to have a trio of new handsets in the works for September, with reports of a plastic-coated iPhone 6C recirculating of late.

The Apple Watch will be available to pre-order on April 10, ahead of its arrival in stores on April 24.
