Daniel Radcliffe in talks to star in "Grand Theft Auto"

Daniel Radcliffe enters negotiation to star in "Grand Theft Auto". It revolves around a true-story conflict between Sam Houser, the creator of popular video game GTA, and Jack Thompson, a lawyer who is against video game violence.

As TheWrap reveals citing The Hollywood Reporter, the former "Harry Potter" actor is expected to play Houser. Owen Harris, who directed episodes of British shows like "Misfits" and "Black Mirror", is tapped as a helmer. The role of Thompson hasn't been cast.

James Wood wrote the script based on David Kushner's book called "Jacked: The Outlaw Story of Grand Theft Auto". The movie was originally titled "Rockstar Games" after Houser's company which is also behind video games like "Max Payne" and "Red Dead". Filming is scheduled to begin on April 20. No release date has been announced.

Daniel Radcliffe was seen in "Horns" and "What If" last year. He will next star in "Trainwreck", "Victor Frankenstein", and "Now You See Me: The Second Act".
