Cilicia Finished Voyage around Europe
The Russian Society of Friendship and Cooperation with Armenia has sent a congratulation message to President Robert Kocharian and the crew of Cilicia vessel owing to successful completion of the unique voyage around Europe, President of the Society Victor Krivopuskov told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
"For us, the Russians, it is especially symbolical that your unique historical experiment following the example of 13th century, joined their voyage in the seas and the Atlantic to European countries with another "Armenian" water route of the same time in the Caspian and the Volga to the White Sea. Our warm congratulations to the leaders of the Republic, its people on this nation-wide success, which granted the world an example of strong link between times and civilization, memorable attitude of a biblical people to historical values irrespective of their national belonging for the sake of strengthening intercultural dialogue and progress," the message says.
