LA City Armenian Genocide Centennial Book Drive announced

LA City Councilmember Paul Krekorian on Tuesday, April 28, announced the beginning of an Armenian Genocide Centennial Book Drive to benefit the Los Angeles Public Library. The drive will last through the end of May 2015.

The Drive is focused on acquiring donated new or lightly used books on the Armenian Genocide, Armenian history or culture, and those about other genocides. They can be in English, Armenian or any other language. All books will be donated to the LA Library collection, according to Asbarez.

Los Angeles Public Library branches will have bins where donors can drop off books. Books can be dropped off at the Los Angeles Central Library and at the North Hollywood, Studio City, Valley Plaza, Mid-Valley, and Eagle Rock library branches. Books can also be dropped off at the office of Councilmember Krekorian at LA City Hall or at his North Hollywood District Office, Asbarez says.
