Muse have performed their new track 'Mercy' live for the first time, Gigwise reports.
The rock band played at New York’s iHeart Theatre on Saturday 9 May and debuted 'Mercy' for the first time, which is rumoured to be their next single.
The typically sweeping, piano-led track had fans going crazy in anticipation of their new concept-heavy album, Drones which is set for release on 8 June.
Meanwhile, Muse’s Matt Bellamy has said that the band wanted to return to their musical roots when recording new album Drones, telling Rolling Stone: "Our intention was to go back to how we made music in the early stages of our career, when we were more like a standard three-piece rock band with guitar, bass and drums."
Muse will release Drones on 8 June - the month they headline Download Festival alongside Slipknot, Kiss, Marilyn Manson and many more.
Bellamy has also said that the band will be headlining Bestival in September.
