Spain arrests 2 for Islamic State spreading IS propaganda

Spanish police have arrested two people in the northeastern city of Barcelona for allegedly posting pro-Islamic State group videos and propaganda on the Internet.

An Interior Ministry statement on Tuesday, May 12, said the two used several Internet identities to promote the armed Islamic group's jihad. They also uploaded material of their own making.

There were no immediate details on the identities of the suspects.

The Ministry said the operation was being conducted by the National Court in Madrid. Spain has arrested dozens of suspected jihadi militants and recruiters in recent years.
