LG rolls out budget-friendly G4c

South Korean firm LG has unveiled the LG G4c, a smaller version of its flagship smartphone with scaled-down specs and a price tag that is expected to match, Digital Spy reports.

The LG G4c shaves half an inch off the flagship's screen size with a 5-inch 294ppi display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM.

It also includes 8GB of storage with microSD expansion, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel selfies snapper, and a 2,450mAh removable battery.

Measuring in at 10.2mm thick, the budget handset will be available in Metallic Gray, Ceramic White and Shiny Gold colour options, with release details set to be announced in the coming weeks.

LG announced the device alongside a larger version of the G4 called the LG G4 Stylus, which ships with a special rubber-tipped pen.
