All three of The Pirate Bay's co-founders are now free men following confirmation that Fredrik Neij has been released from prison, Digital Spy reports.

Neij was the only remaining member of the trio still behind bars, but the 37-year-old has walked free after serving two-thirds of a ten-month sentence.

The computer programmer was arrested on the border between Laos and Thailand in November 2014 following a lengthy manhunt, before being extradited to Sweden.

He is expected to return home to his wife and children in Laos after doing his time in a Swedish jail, according to TorrentFreak.

His fellow Pirate Bay co-founders Peter Sunde and Gottfrid Warg were arrested shortly before Neij, with all three being taken into custody within a six-month period.

The trio have moved to distance themselves from the notorious file-sharing website since their arrests.
