13 children with autism start attending secondary schools in Armenia

13 children with autism from the International Child Development Center (ICDC) have started attending secondary schools in Armenia.

The duration of the school year at the International Child Development Center is 11 months. The children attending the center receive complex specialized educational treatment: speech, art, music, occupational therapy and more. To achieve maximum treatment effectiveness, trainings are regularly organized for the specialists working at the center.

For already 7 years VivaCell-MTS has been supporting the organization of individual, intensive treatment programs for children with autism. The cooperation between the company with the ICDC has produced tangible results: in the framework of the inclusive education program, 13 out of the 35 children have started attending secondary schools. Moreover, after the end of the school year, most of the children are looking forward at spending the summer holidays with their families. Progress is visible both in terms of knowledge acquisition and self-support skills, as well as in the ability of integrating into the society.
