It looks like Samsung may be planning to release a phablet version of its latest Galaxy flagship sometime soon, Digital Spy reports.
SamMobile has spotted that the company has registered a trademark for the Galaxy S6 Note name.
Following usual Galaxy Note protocol, the next device should be called the Galaxy Note 5, but maybe Samsung is giving the product line a twist this time round.
On the other hand, it could be a false alarm as many companies register trademarks to protect their brands from being misused.
Samsung is expected to announce the next Note handset alongside its next-generation smartwatch at the IFA trade show in September.
The company's answer to Apple Pay - called Samsung Pay - is also expected to launch with the phablet, and could feature a USB 3.1 Type-C connector.
