Armenian and Romanian Businessmen Ready to Work Together
At the session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation between Armenia and Romania a number of projects are proposed, in which Romanian companies may be interested, Armenian President R. Kocharian stated at a joint news conference with Romanian leader Traian Basescu. "As for direct air communication, it should be determined to which extent those flights will be favorable," the Armenian leader said.

Romanian president evaluated the work of the Intergovernmental Commission as unsatisfactory. In his words, the latest meeting was 6 years ago. «They will now meet annually. An Armenian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce is to be established,» he said.

At that Traian Basescu noted that the Bucharest Forum of the Black Sea basin is planned to be strengthened. "This will be a place for debate and political dialogue," he said. "We have already submitted a proposal to the Council of Europe on the creation of the Black Sea-European region, which can change many things for better on the way of movement of countries towards the EU and NATO,» the Romanian President believes.

In his turn Kocharian remarked that by the creation of a structure like that Romania is becoming one of the largest states of the Black Sea-European region, that will support Armenia. «We have good expectations form that initiative,» the Armenian leader said.
