Angela Sarafyan, who this spring was seen playing “Angela” in “1915” the movie, will play the wife of Oscar Issac’s character in the upcoming Armenian Genocide-themed film, “The Promise,” which is produced by Survival Pictures, a company unveiled last month by the late Kirk Kerkorian’s Tracinda Corporation, according to Asbarez.

Sarafyan recently wrapped Jonathon Nolan’s upcoming HBO series “Westworld,” whose first-look trailer HBO unveiled this weekend ahead of the second season finale of its series, “True Detective.” She plays Clementine Pennyfeather on “Westworld.”

According to The Wrap, which first reported the news, Sarafyan will play the wife, from an arranged marriage, of Oscar Issac’s character in “The Promise,” which deals with the Armenian Genocide.

Survival Pictures had announced earlier that Issac will be joined by Academy Award winner Christian Bale as the leads. They will be joined by Charlotte Le Bon, who will be at the center of a love triangle, according The Wrap.

Oscar-winning filmmaker Terry George (“Hotel Rwanda”) will direct from a script he co-wrote with Robin Swicord (“Memoirs of a Geisha”).

Mike Medavoy (“Black Swan”) is producing “The Promise” with Eric Esrailian, Ralph Winter (“X-Men”) and William Horberg (Milk”). Production is slated to start this fall in Southern Europe, including Portugal and the Canary Islands, reported The Wrap.

Sarafyan also recently appeared on “American Horror Story” and in Max Landis’ directorial debut “Me Him Her.” She also played Marion Cotillard’s sister in James Gray’s “The Immigrant” and Lucas Till’s love interest in “Paranoia.”
