NATO against Changing Karabakh Talks Format
NATO fully supports efforts of the OSCE MG for settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and hopes that the parties will manage to reach an agreement, NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia Robert Simmons stated at a news conference in Yerevan. In his words, the current format of talks does not need a change. "The NATO is not a participant of the talks or a mediator. Direct assistance to settlement of the Karabakh conflict is not a task for the NATO, however we are ready to provide any help to the parties," Robert Simmons stressed.
