Armenia’s foreign trade turnover drops by 19.9% in 7 months

Armenia’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $2,657 million in January-July 2015, decreasing by 19,9% against the same period in 2014, the country’s National Statistical Service reports.

The exports totaled $847 million, up 0,1% from last year, while imports amounted to $1,810 million, dropping by 26,7%.

In January-July 2015, Armenia’s Economic Activity Index increased by 4,2% against last year’s results. The volume of industrial production showed an 4,1% increase in the reporting period; gross agricultural output is up by 14,8%, the volume of construction climbed by 0,4%, the volume of services showed an 2,4% upsurge, with electricity production up by 1,9%.
