Armenia gets $ 21.9 million’s worth of humanitarian aid in Jan-July 2015

1,482,000 tons of humanitarian aid, worth AMD 10,4 billion were imported to Armenia in January-July 2015, the country’s National Statistical Service reports.

2,258,000 tons of humanitarian aid, worth AMD 10,9 billion were imported in the same period of 2014.

According to the Armenian Finance Ministry’s customs declarations data, 24,4% of the humanitarian aid in the reporting period was donated by Australia; 22,1% by the United States; 13,6% by China, 0,9% by CIS countries, including Russia; the EU had a 22,6% share in the overall volume.

The humanitarian aid included chemical products (42%), textile goods (11,3%), equipment and devices (11,1%), cars, machinery and mechanisms (8,6%), various industrial products (6,4%), footwear, hats, umbrellas (4,8%) and other products (15,8%).
