"Steve Jobs" drew high praise from some reviewers and critics on its debut at the Telluride Film Festival on Saturday, September 5. Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak was among the viewers, praising the movie, director Danny Boyle and actor Michael Fassbender whom he considered successful to portray the Apple former chairman, AceShowbiz reports.

Wozniak was so impressed with the performance of Fassbender and other stars such as Kate Winslet. He thought that the cast performed really great and could approach the character. "I saw a rough cut and I felt like I was actually watching Steve Jobs and the others, not actors playing them, I give full credit to Danny Boyle and [screenwriter] Aaron Sorkin for getting it so right," Wozniak said.

Many websites wrote positive reviews for the film and one of them speculated that Fassbender could be an Oscar contender. Meanwhile, another source mentioned that the film might be in the Oscar race along with other high-profile movies.

Boyle was asked about his opinion on the movie before the screening started. He called the movie the most challenging film he ever directed, while also promising to give something "very different" to viewers. "I tend to be a very visceral director and entertain through that with fast cutting, and what you're going to see tonight is very, very different," the director said. "The challenge is try to create the space for the actors to act out these extraordinary scenes."

The biopic recounts the ups and downs Jobs had during his career which encouraged him to revolutionize the computer, music and mobile industries. Fassbender and Winslet star in the movie alongside Seth Rogen, Jeff Daniels, Michael Stuhlbarg, Sarah Snook and Katherine Waterston. "Steve Jobs" is expected to be screened at the New York Film Festival on October 3 and will be released later in the U.S. on October 9.
