Facebook’s Messenger app now available for Apple Watch

Facebook is bringing its popular Messenger app to the Apple Watch, enabling users to send stickers, have conversations, and share their location with friends, VentureBeat reports.

The release, which was revealed by Apple’s senior vice president of operations, Jeff Williams, at Apple’s “Hey Siri” event in San Francisco, is timed to coincide with the upcoming release of Watch OS 2.

One of the things that users will find with Messenger for Apple Watch is the addition of stickers.

This is not the first time Facebook has created a customized Messenger app for a wearable device: it is also available on Android Wear.

With more than 600 million monthly active users, Facebook Messenger is one of the top places to have a conversation.

Making the app available on more devices will certainly give Messenger even greater exposure and perhaps add millions of voices to the conversation.
