Baku confirmed the death of three soldiers in different sections of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the line of contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijan in Armenia’s retaliation for Azeri shelling of peaceful villages, APA reports citing the country’s Defense Ministry.

Nagorno Karabakh Defense army, in turn, reported that around a dozen Azerbaijani soldiers were killed and wounded near Akna (previously Aghdam), with no casualties reported on the Armenian side.

It is noteworthy that the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry confirmed the losses only after the information leaked into social networks.

Azerbaijani official agencies often fail to report casualties, with posts by opposition journalists or the victims’ relatives revealing the truth.
