Dutch Turks Urge to Boycott Political Parties Recognizing Armenian Genocide
Turkish Forum lobbyist organization launched a campaign in Holland since yesterday, urging ethnic Turks to boycott political parties, which recognize the Armenian Genocide. The campaign launched three weeks before the parliamentary election, scheduled November 22, is a response of Dutch Turks to two leading parties of the country - the Christian Democratic and Labor - who expelled ethnic Turk candidates, who denied the Armenian Genocide, from their election lists. The lobbyist organization has disseminated posters, urging grassroots to vote for candidates of small centrist D-66 party, which does not recognize the Armenian Genocide in its official stand, reports RFE/RL.
