Jane's: Karabakh Settlement before 2009 Utterly Unlikely
Experts of Jane's Research Center consider settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict before 2009 utterly unlikely. "In spite of some encouraging signs, Armenian and Azeri leaders will hardly attain an agreement soon, even if they again meet this year. As none of the parties will not want to compromise this delicate issue during the election years, this failure will make agreement before 2009 utterly unlikely," Jane's analysts suppose. "Thus, the probability of an Armenian-Azeri war over Karabakh, which is slight now, may increase as the time passes," the experts state, reports RFE/RL.
