Samsung's Galaxy S7 “to ape Apple's 3D Touch technology”

Samsung's Galaxy S7 smartphone will reportedly bring the fight to the iPhone 6S with its own spin on the handset's 3D Touch display, according to Digital Spy.

The Korean firm is partnering with a company called Synaptics to bring its pressure-sensitive ClearForce technology to the device, according to Phone Arena.

ClearForce will makes its debut on the forthcoming Huawei Mate S phablet, bringing different scrolling speeds, new gaming controls and more to the device.

Previous reports suggest that the Galaxy S7 will put pressure on the iPhone 6S with the inclusion of a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front snapper, and an iris scanner.

One of the most prevalent rumours about the handset concerns its release date, with multiple sourcing tipping it to launch in late February.

With the 2016 Mobile World Congress scheduled to take place between February 22 and 25, Samsung could use the event as a platform to debut its new phone.
