Stella Maxwell’s Armenian photo shoot for Vogue

Vogue Russia organized a unique photo shoot in Armenia, managing to take several thousand photos within just three days, the magazine reports.

David Mushegain first visited Armenia a few months ago and was overwhelmed by the beauty of his historic homeland. So when the magazine asked him to shoot ethnic outfits for Russian Vogue, he suggested going to Yerevan. Joining him from California was his friend, Victoria's Secret angel Stella Maxwell, one of today's most famous models in the industry.

The ethno-style photo shoot was conducted at Yerevan’s Vernissage, in Garni, Gyumri, as well as inside Armenian artist Lusik Aguletsi's house.

As a contemporary “hero” in Armenia, master of duduk Jivan Gasparyan joined Maxwell in the session, performing for the crew.

On the way to the airport, Vogue writes, Maxwell asked to stop the car to gather a bouquet of red poppies: red symbolizes femininity in Armenia.
