iOS 9 is already running on approximately 61% of Apple devices, Digital Spy reports.
Apple revealed that the majority of its customers have adopted the latest operating system update in a support blog for developers.
The sampling was taken by Apple on October 19, a mere month after iOS 9 was rolled out to the public.
61% adoption is an improvement over iOS 8 last year, when a sizeable selection avoided upgrading initially due to the sheer size of the update.
iOS 9 was first announced at Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference back in June, before being officially rolled out on September 16.
Among the features implemented in iOS 9 are battery enhancements, a brand new News app, upgrades to the Maps app and a greater ability to multitask.
