Abramorama will release the new documentary, “Rock in the Red Zone”, in theaters nationwide starting Nov. 12, the company announced Thursday, October 22, according to TheWrap.

Laura Bialis’ film follows musicians in Sderot, an Israeli city that has been the target of ongoing rocket fire from the Gaza strip.

The distribution company plans a Nov. 12 opening in New York, followed by Los Angeles on Dec. 2 with more cities to be added.

The film features musicians such as Avi Vaknin, Robby Elmaliah, Hagit Yaso and Micha Biton, as well as the music of Kobi Oz & The Teapacks, Knesiyat Hasechel, Sfatayim, Micha Biton and Avi Vaknin.

Bialis’ previous credits include “Refusenik” and “View From The Bridge: Stories from Kosovo.”

Bialis produced the film, with co-producers Elana Horwich, Korelan Matteson and Ravit Markus.

“Laura Bialis’ film, ‘Rock in the Red Zone,’ is a music story that turns into a war story that turns into a love story,” Abramorama President Richard Abramowitz said in a statement. “It’s a brave and timely work that will resonate across boundaries and borders around the world.”

Abramorama is an independent distribution and marketing company, which has successfully marketed and distributed films like Robert Stone’s “Pandora’s House Promise” and Cameron Crowe‘s “Pearl Jam Twenty.”
