A Service of Commemoration of the Armenian martyrs of 1915 was held at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday, October 28.

The ecumenical ceremony was served by Bishop of London Richard Chartres and His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Charles, Prince of Wales attended the service, while the choir of London’s St Yeghiche Armenian Church performed Armenian chants.

As the world commemorates the Armenian Genocide centennial, the ecumenical prayer for the memory and souls of the canonized Genocide victims called on everyone to join the prayer for justice and speak out against the gravest crime against humanity.
