Foreign Minister hails Paraguay Senate's recognition of Genocide

Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian issued a statement, welcoming Paraguayan Senate's recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

“The international recognition of the Armenian Genocide proves that crimes against humanity have no expiration date.

Even after 100 years, the humanity goes on acknowledging and condemning the Armenian Genocide,” Nalbandian said.

Paraguay's Senate, according to him, greatly contributed to the international efforts of prevention of genocides and crimes against humanity.

Paraguay's Senate unanimously passed a resolution on Thursday, October 29, recognizing and condemning the Armenian Genocide.

Other South American states, including Brazil, Bolivia, Venezuela, Argentina, Uruguay and other countries, regions and cities have recognized the Armenian Genocide.
