VivaCell-MTS, Fuller Center build houses for quake-hit families

VivaCell-MTS and the Fuller Center for Housing have once again joined efforts to build a house for the Margsryan family in Gyumri.

27 years have passed since the devastating earthquake of 1988, but many families are still homeless.

The Margaryans are one of the residents of Lejan village of Lori province who have lost their home in the earthquake and lived in a temporary shelter until now. The daughter of the family is already married, but their son does not get married because of the housing conditions.

VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian, employees of the Company, and the Fuller Center for Housing Armenia team visited the Margaryans to participate in the housewarming ceremony.

Yirikian said efforts should be continuously taken for families in Gyumri and earthquake-hit areas to never lose hope.

VivaCell-MTS invested AMD100 million (AMD55 million in 2014) in the project in 2015, with Fuller Center for Housing Armenia implementing it.

The number of the families having their houses renovated or reconstructed will reach 93 by the end of the year.
