Nancy Pelosi Unanimously Elected House Speaker
66-year-old Nancy Pelosi was unanimously chosen by Democrats Thursday to be speaker of the House, becoming the first woman ensured the job that constitutionally is second in line of succession to the presidency. House Democrats voted for Maryland Rep. Steny Hoyer as their new majority leader. The Republicans have for the first time since 1994 yielded to Democrats the majority of seats in both Houses, reports Lenta.ru.

Nancy Pelosi said he will support the bill on the Armenian Genocide recognition during the 110th session of the Congress. "The United States should recognize this crime and confirm the obligations for prevention of genocides. I will support the bill," she said.
