Hauwei's new battery promises to charge 10 times faster

Smartphone battery problems could be a thing of the past, after Huawei claimed to have invented a battery which charges ten times faster than usual, Digital Spy reports.

The Chinese tech company has developed a new design using heteroatoms, which allow for a faster transferral of energy without damaging battery life.

The company released a statement, saying: "This breakthrough in quick charging batteries will lead to a new revolution in electronic devices, especially with regard to mobile phones, electric vehicles, wearable devices, and mobile power supplies.

"Soon, we will all be able to charge our batteries to full power in the time it takes to grab a coffee!"
