Instagram reportedly working on multiple accounts support

Instagram could be getting ready to support multiple accounts, at least within its Android app, VentureBeat reports.

It has said that within version 7.12 of the app, users can add accounts or create new ones, which could mean that soon community managers will find it less stressful to manage a company’s Instagram profile.

According to Android Police, within the latest version of Instagram that you can download from APK Mirror or through the Google Play beta testing program, some people are seeing an “Add Account” option. There doesn’t appear to be a limit on how many accounts you can add within the app. This feature is only available within the Android version — there’s no indication that it’s available on iOS.

By bringing multiple account support to Instagram, the Facebook-owned company is removing a large friction point for those that work with the service for their job. No longer would community managers, social media professionals, and others need to use third-party services like Instwogram to “MacGuyver” the workflow.
