Coldplay transforms into apes in “Adventure of a Lifetime” clip

Coldplay has a crazy "Adventure of a Lifetime" in the music video of their current single. Arriving online via their Facebook page on Friday, November 27, the clip finds the band's member turning into CGI apes throwing a dance party in the forest, AceShowbiz reports.

The video opens with four boring apes coming across a Beats Pill speaker playing the song's intro. One ape representing frontman Chris Martin then sings the lyrics while dancing his way through the jungle alongside his pals. They later form a four-member band and a bunch of other apes are seen joining their party.

Directed by Mat Whitecross, the video took six months to make. Martin explained in a press release that the concept for the visuals came after he met Andy Serkis, the Caesar in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", on a plane.

"Adventure of a Lifetime" leads Coldplay's new album "A Head Full of Dreams". Set for release on December 4, the LP has also been preceded by "Everglow" which features Martin's ex Gwyneth Paltrow.

In addition to the actress, the follow-up to last year's "Ghost Stories" boasts guest appearances from the vocalist's kids, his current girlfriend Annabelle Wallis, Beyonce Knowles, her daughter Blue Ivy and Oasis' Noel Gallagher among others.
