Google patent offers a hint about Google Glass 2

Despite Google's claims that Google Glass is not dead, we've heard little about its future plans for the headset since it returned to the drawing board. But a patent filing from the web giant's archives has just surfaced showing what could be an early sketch of Google Glass 2, Digital Spy said.

The mystery headset appears as a malleable frame that wraps around the user's head and puts a single display before their eye.

The flexible band is also said to double as a touchpad, while the device's display can also be paired with a prism to bring imagery to both eyes.

Google folded its Glass Explorer programme in January and has since restructured the team in charge of the project, placing Nest boss Tony Fadell at the helm.

Glass is expected to be relaunched as a business-focused device and is now going under the name of Project Aura.
