Azerbaijan opens fire on Armenian border village

The Azerbaijani side opened fire on the village of Paravakar near Armenian town of Noyemberyan, Panorama.am reports citing a Police source.

“A civilian car caught fire as a result,” a Police press office representative Armen Malkhasyan said. “This is all we know for now.”

On September 28, a resident of Paravakar was wounded in the September 28 Azerbaijani shelling. The farmer came under fire as he was harvesting grapes.

Paravakar was also shelled by Azerbaijani armed forces on September 24, leaving a village resident Paytsar Aghajanyan dead.

Other border villages also came under Azeri fire: Sona Revazyan (born in 1974) and Shushan Asatryan (born in 1921) were killed in the border village of Berdavan.
