Tina Fey, Amy Poehler spoof “Star Wars” in “Sisters” comedy promo

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler want to make sure you don’t forget about the other movie opening against “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” on Dec. 18 — their comedy, “Sisters”, TheWrap said.

Using the hashtag, #YouCanSeeThemBoth, Universal released a new spoof trailer titled “The Farce Awakens,” which combines both the comedy and the highly-anticipated blockbuster into one trailer.

Maya Rudolph also appears in the promo, which makes several references to “Star Wars.” “Our director, J.J…ason Moore” is mentioned, and Fey and Poehler describe the huge importance of “Sisters” for fans all over the world, similarly to how “Star Wars” has been described by its fanbase.

“This film means so much to so many people, you just know what it’s going to be like when it reaches the cinemaarrrrr,” said Poehler with a fake English accent.

“We’re not British, were just using these accents to cover our buzz,” Fey said.

A lightsaber makes a cameo, and Fey even mentions R2-D2 in the trailer.

“R2-D2 is my current bra size,” she quips.

Both “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and “Sisters” hit theaters on Dec. 18.
