Azerbaijan uses mortars, grenade launchers in ceasefire violations

Azerbaijani armed forces continuously violated the ceasefire on the line of contact with Nagorno Karabakh on the night of December 4-5.

According to the NKR Defense Ministry, 110 ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani armed forces were registered in the reporting period, with over 1600 shots fired from various caliber artillery weapons, as well as 60-, 82-mm mortars, and RPG-7, BG-15 Mukha grenade launchers.

Karabakh defense forces continue controlling the situation, retaliating in case of necessity.

According to the NKR Defense Ministry, 50 ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani armed forces were registered on the night of December 2-3, with over 1000 shots fired from various caliber artillery weapons.

Azerbaijani subversive groups attempted Friday, December 4 morning, to penetrate into the territory of Nagorno Karabakh in Talish direction of the contact line.

Taking retaliatory measures, the Armenian troops managed to rebuff the attack, with Karabakh serviceman Erik Grigoryan, aged 20, lethally wounded.

An investigation into the details of the incident is currently underway.
