Google kills off a popular Nexus classic

We are gathered here today to remember a friend to all of us that is no more - Google has killed off the original Nexus 6, Digital Spy said.

The first Google-branded phablet, the Nexus 6 launched last year with a plethora of high-end specs rammed into its oversized 6-inch form.

With the follow-on Google Nexus 6P now available, Droidlife has spotted that the original Nexus 6 has now been removed from the Google Play Store.

Although currently still available through select networks and online retailers, it is unclear if Nexus 6 stocks will be replenished once sold out.

Boasting a 6-inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel QHD display, the Nexus 6 specs sheet was further enhanced by a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, and 3GB of RAM.

With a 13-megapixel camera on the rear, the Motorola-made phone's features list was rounded off by a 2-megapixel selfie snapper and large, 3220mAh battery.
