GUAM Initiative on 'Frozen Conflicts' Not Ripe for Discussion in UN Yet
GUAM's иnitiative on "frozen conflicts" is not ripe enough for discussion in UN's General Assembly", Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bejuashvili told a news conference in Tbilisi. He confirmed that during the session of GUAM's Foreign Ministers was scheduled would be held on December 7, 2006.
"This issue is on the agenda of 61st General Assembly and it will be not removed till next September. We will put it on discussion as soon as it will be mature and ready entirely", said Gela Bejuashvili pointing out that GUAM does not just aim to discuss the issue but to reach such decisions, which would lead to real and efficient moves. It is worth mentioning, that Russia also stands against the discussion of this issue, trying to organize speeches of unrecognized countries if the above mentioned issue appears under the discussion of the UN General Assembly.
