Mozilla has followed Microsoft and Google's lead by launching a 64-bit version of its Firefox web browser, Digital Spy reports.
Chrome and Edge have supported 64-bit hardware for a while now, and Firefox users running at least Windows 7 can now enjoy the same benefits.
Firefox won't necessarily run faster, but can take advantage of enhanced security features, greater app compatibility and other improvements.
The 64-bit upgrade is specific to Windows machines, but users on all platforms can now activate Private Browsing mode to block a number of web trackers and view search suggestions within their address bar.
Mozilla has also optimised the software for touchscreen devices, automatically presenting the on-screen keyboard when it's needed.
The 64-bit version of Firefox is available to download from the Mozilla website.
