All 155 passengers and crew members survived. The script is written by Todd Komarnicki, based on the autobiography “Highest Duty” by Sullenberger with Jeffrey Zaslow. The film also stars Aaron Eckhart, Laura Linney, Holt McCallany, Jamey Sheridan and Jerry Ferrara.

Producers are Allyn Stewart and Frank Marshall along with Eastwood and Tim Moore would produce through Malpaso Productions. Shooting began in September in New York.

The only other title set for the Sept. 9 date is an untitled New Line horror film.
