Amazon is working on a smaller, more refined version of Echo speaker, the AI-powered audio device that measures in around the size of a beer can, Digital Spy reports citing the Wall Street Journal.
The smaller Echo will be around half the size of the current model and reportedly cost less than its $180 price tag.
Added portability isn't the only bonus feature, as the new speaker sits on a charger dock when not in use, eliminating the need for a mains connection.
To save battery life, the smaller Echo uses a push-to-talk button to activate Amazon's Siri rival Alexa, instead of being creepy and always listening.
Amazon is yet to officially announce the scaled-down Echo.
