U.S. Stands for Opening of Armenian-Turkish Border
Opening of the Armenian-Turkish border is one of priorities of the U.S. foreign policy, said U.S. Chargé d'Affaires Anthony F. Godfrey. According to the diplomat, economic relations between the two states should develop. "Both Armenia and Turkey will benefit from stability in the South Caucasus," he said. The U.S. diplomat also emphasized that the U.S. supports efforts for opening of the border and normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations. "No state can develop economy in absence of economic ties with neighbors," he said.
