Azerbaijan's accession to the European Union is not discussed presently, said Alan Waddams, the European Commission's special representative for Azerbaijan. In his opinion, the issue may be put on agenda in some 50 years. Presently the EU consists of 27 member states. Mr Waddams also noted that a pause will be sustained in the EU enlargement process.
