Adam Sandler, “Fifty Shades” top Razzies nominations

Adam Sandler and Fifty Shades of Grey lead the nominations for the season's most unwanted awards and are looking like strong favorites to pick a few Razzies with multiple noms, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Sandler, a veteran with several, almost too many to count, Razzie worst actor nominations, picks up another two with his performances in The Cobbler and Pixels. Joining the Ridiculous Six star in the worst actor category are pal Kevin James, plus Johnny Depp, Channing Tatum and Fifty Shades' Jamie Dornan.

Fifty Shades may have been a huge global box office success for Universal, guaranteeing sequels, but the film proved a bust with critics and saw it scoop six nominations for worst actor, worst actress for Dakota Johnson, worst director for Sam Taylor-Johnson, worst screenplay, worst screen combo and the coveted worst film prize.

Sandler's Pixels, James' Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 and Jupiter Ascending all picked up six nominations, with Fox's epic box office flop Fantastic Four surprisingly getting off lightly with only five noms.

The Razzies are voted for by a committee of 900 members and the winners (or losers) will be announced on Feb. 27, a day before the Oscars ceremony.
